:: Sleep Disordered Breathing

At Absolute Dental Care our sub-speciality is the treatment of sleep disordered breathing or as it is more commonly known, Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). This service is provided by referral only from a Respiratory Physician or ENT Surgeon.

Snoring may be an indicator of the serious condition known as Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. People with untreated OSA are far more likely to suffer from daytime sleepiness, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Snoring and OSA can be simply and effectively treated at Absolute Dental Care.

We use an adjustable mandibular advancement splint which is custom made, consisting of upper and lower dental plates, resembling a custom fitted mouth guard. It is comfortable, easy to use, unobtrusive and worn only during sleep.
